Tim King
2021-2022 is the second year for Tim to be with HCYA. After graduating from Deer Park High School in 2001, he was taken in the 7th round of the MLB draft by the Tampa Rays organization. A left-handed pitcher, he played for several seasons for their minor league affiliates in Princeton, WV; Poughkeepsie, NY; and Charleston, SC.
Since his retirement from professional baseball, he has stayed active in the game with private pitching lessons. His addition to our coaching staff not only improved our performance on the mound but contributed to the Eagles setting or tying 10 team records in his first season.
Tim and his wife, Leah, live in Mont Belvieu, Texas. They have two children, Kylee (7) and Kylan (4). Kylan is sure to be a future Eagle! We feel blessed by their service to our organization.
Andrew Carter
Andrew Carter was a teammate of Coach King in high school. He played baseball for Blinn Junior College and graduated from Texas A&M University.
Coach Carter was a catcher by trade. He brings a valuable skill set to our program and will serve as the primary JV coach.
Andrew and his wife, Samantha, are active in the Children's Ministry at Monument Baptist Church in Deer Park. They have three children: Lucas (12), Emma (10) and Olivia (6). We welcome them to the HCYA family!
