Pool game split yields berth in Qualifying round

The Eagles split their pool games today to open up the Homeschool World Series in Auburndale, Florida.

After a defeat at the hands of the Houston Northside Falcons, the Eagles bounced back strongly against the Richmond Patriots, winning 7-2 behind an outstanding start from junior Micah Davis (5.2 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 10 Ks).

The win ensures that the Eagles will avoid Division III, and that we’ll have a chance to compete for either the Division I or Division II title.

There’s a lot of baseball yet to be played, but for day 1 of the tournament, Mission Accomplished. Go Eagles!
