Bats explode in run-rule win, powering Eagles into Div II Final Four

The Eagles scored 16 runs on 12 hits today in the opening round of Division II in the Homeschool World Series, defeating the Victors from Jackson, MS 16-5 in a 5-inning run-rule win.

It was a full-roster effort today, with contributions defensively from all 17 players who made the trip to Florida. Our 12 hits came from 9 different players.

It was a great start to Division II play! – with lots of encouraging signs for the more challenging rounds we know are upcoming in the next two days. We’ll need to keep our arms hot, keep our bats hot, and play clean defense if we hope to defend our Division II Championship.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men — Colossians 3:23

Go Eagles!
